Applique    Step-by-Step

 

Many folks asked us how to do applique work. They are very keen to know how to play around with this exquisite type of embroidery. We have decided to compile a "step-by-step" session to explain just how easy and rewarding applique work is.

Please go ahead and try it. It will amuse you for hours.

 

Learn to "appliqué" in 6 easy steps

  

Embroider the first color indicated on your selected fabric. Remember your stabilizer.

Step 1

 

Choose your appliqué fabric and place it over the embroidered outline.

Step 2

 

Stitch next color while holding fabric in place.

 Step 3

 

Remove hoop and carefully cut away the excess fabric.

 Step 4

 

Reposition hoop again in your embroidery machine

 Step 5

 

Stitch the final satin stitching (in this case) to complete your project

 Step 6
