Now mom or grann can make these easy-to-do, yet very elegant boxes with "ribbons & bows" as part of a project with your daughter or grand daughter. If you do not want to sew panels together, then this box is for you. All panels are completed "in the hoop", then they can be tied together with ribbons.

For the 4*4 & 5*7 hoops

  • Starting with 2 side panels, place them back to back, ready to start threading your ribbon

step03.jpg

  • Thread first ribbon from bottom to top through every second opening

step04.jpg

step05.jpg

  • Finish it off with a tiny bow at each end

step06.jpg

  • Follow the same procedure with the other side panels
  • This will result in a ring of all the side panels attached to each other with ribbons

Click on any pic for an enlarged view.

step07.jpg

  • Cut 1 x 70cm/29" ribbon In the same manner attach base panel to ring completed above
  • Finish with a tiny bow
  • Your box base is complete

step08.jpg

  •  Attach 2 half lid panels adding a thin strip of fabric glue
