I'm in the aqua dress (that I designed and made) my husband has the aqua vest and ascot, my daughter is in the pumpkin colored dress, and the woman with the grey/blue dress and white lace is another one of my designs. We will be going to the annual national contra convention in November in York, Penn. where they dance with live bands for 4 days.
My husband and I do middle 1800's contra dancing. I do a great deal of sewing and finished an authentic middle 1800's ball gown, and have been designing them. I really enjoy it, and have another planned in my mind, and that was the reason for the need for the designs. I am going to make one in deep teal color, with gold stripes in the skirt (alternating teal and gold, sewing all of the stripes together) then embroider gold on the top, with the large puff sleeves in teal and gold stripes as well. I am trying to get it finished for October's Georgia National fair as well for competition.
