Easy first time success with velvet embroidery tutorial

This is an easy-to-follow, full picture tutorial to show you how easy it is to work on a fabric like velvet. You do not need a lot of velvet as it is quite expensive.

I went to my local store and purchase a little strip wide enough to fit my 4 x 4 hoop. Keep in mind that there is one design that is made for the 5 x 7 hoop. You will need a larger piece of cut-off fabric to make this design.

If you decide not to use velvet, please do not burn the final product (as shown in the tutorial) You might set your house on fire.

Step A

Hoop "stitch and tear" or water-soluble as stabilizer - which ever work the best for you

Important : Do not wash your velvet designs!!!

This collection has 4 x 4 designs as well as 5 x 7 designs

Stitch first Default color (Appliqué position)
