"The name "Gingham" is Malay in origin, coming into the English language via Dutch. When originally imported (in the 17th century), it was a striped fabric, but from the mid 18th century, when it was being produced in the mills of Manchester, it had become woven into checked or plaid patterns (often blue and white)." |

And now you can make your own Gingham. I was amazed how easy it
was to do and how authentically Gingham the bowls look. You would think it
looks like purchased Gingham fabric. (Embellishments
not included) |

In this collection you get 2 Gingham boxes; one for the 4*4 and the other for the 5*7 hoop. My kitchen lends itself to blue and red colors and that is why I used them for my 2 bowls. You can use any color to blend into your color scheme so be creative and have fun. |

The lid is so easy to attach and blends in perfectly. I used a little rose as an embellishment. |
