  • Hoop at least 2 x layers water-soluble stabilizer (perpendicular)
  • Stitch first step = shows “appliqué position”
  • Note that a “default color” is used for this step
  • Place batting and fabric to cover the “appliqué position”
  • Adhesive spray keeps your fabric in place
  • Stitch next step = material stitched to “wss”
  • Follow your thread chart to complete the design

Now for lining your design:Once the design is complete, carefully remove your hoop without interfering with the hooped fabric.

  • Spray adhesive spray to the back and cover the area with lining fabric or same fabric as we did

  • Replace hoop in your embroidery machine and stitch next step
  • This outline will secure the fabric/lining to the back
  • Now you can remove your hoop again and cut away the excess fabric from the front and back
  • Replace hoop in your embroidery machine and your last step = satin outline will cover the edges neatly

  • Remove design from hoop and cut away excess water-soluble stabilizer
  • Keep all panels ready to assemble

  • With a zigzag stitch SL=4, SW=1.5 sew these 2 panels together as directed

  • The sole can now be stitched to the “side panels”
  • Start from the indicated line and only sew the one half

  • This is how it should look at this stage

  • Now you can sew the “back” seam of the “side panels” together as indicated

  • This is how it should look at this stage
  • The one half if the sole is still not sewn. From the inside of the shoe sew this part

  • This is how it should look at this stage

  • The “vamp” will now be sewn

  • Again start from the indicated line, first the one half then the other half

  • The top edge should align perfectly!

  • Only the “cuff” need to attached and your shoe is finished

  • You should have 3 x cuff panels embroidered
  • Sew them side to side as the indication lines shown

This is how it should look at this stage

Fold the “cuff” in half

And secure with a straight stitch

  • The “cuff” can now be sewn to the shoe
  • Note that the 3 x cuff section fit neatly on the 3 x sections of the shoe
  • Also see the “kitten” shoes where I sewn the “cuff” backwards and left the “V” open in front. This gives the shoe a complete new image
  • It is all your choice J

Your first set of “Boots for Babies” is complete           ENJOY!!!
